Le groupe culturel Renault regroupe des militants ouvriers qui proposent dans ce 45 T deux titres sur fonds de rock psychédélique et funk dénonçant les « cadences » imposées à l’usine, les conditions de vie et d’exploitation du prolétariat, ainsi que les « privilèges » des puissants.
Edité en 1973 sur le label « Expressions spontanées » fondé par Jean Bériac et installé dans le 6e arrondissement, Cadences est le fruit d’une collaboration avec Jean-Pierre Graziani, ouvrier métallurgiste à Renault Billancourt, membre de la Fédération anarchiste et du Groupe anarchiste Renault (GAR) dont faisait entre autres partie Georges Cipriani futur membre du groupe Action Directe. Jean-Pierre Graziani collaborait dans les années 1970 au Monde Libertaire et se lance ici dans la chanson populaire à visée révolutionnaire au sein du label...

The Groupement culturel Renault brought together activist workers who offered, on this 45 rpm, two psych-rock and funk-inspired songs that denounce the pace enforced in the factories, the living conditions and the exploitation of the proletariat, and the privileges of the powerful. Published in 1973 on the Expression Spontanée label founded by Jean Bériac and established in the 6th arrondissement, Cadences was the result of a collaboration with Jean-Pierre Graziani, a metalworker at Renault Billancourt and a member of the Anarchist Federation and the Groupe anarchiste Renault (GAR), which included Georges Cipriani, future member of the Action Directe group. L'EP s'ouvre sur un nouveau classique de Rocé, "Tenir Debout", un morceau essentiel, actuel mais pas à la mode.
La face A (tenir debout - spectacle permanent - poings serrés) s'apprécie sans fin, le fond reste toujours aussi incisif et la forme se bonnifie avec le temps.
La face B (cpitxlistes - han solo - jingle bells) est plus inattendue, on sent l'expérimentation.
Le livret accompagnant le disque ajoute une vrai richesse au propos général.
